Whittrick Press
When you pencil the first warm phrase, and every word / Is a choice that lessens choice, till the anxious voice / Picks one last possibility out of silence.

From ‘The Whittrick’ by Edwin Morgan.

Whittrick is a Scots word meaning weasel, a small, little seen, ferocious animal whose red fur flashes through the forests of Northern America and Europe. We want the fiction and journalism that we publish to bring to readers a sense of joy that only a glimpse of rare beauty can bring.

We’re looking for prose and long form journalism that focuses on what it wishes to say, weighs each word carefully and creates a lasting bond with the reader.

Whittrick are also interested in building mutually beneficial relationships with writers. We’re going to be selling your work across the world, so we need to know who you are, and you need to trust us.

If you have work you think we would like to see, please use the submission form below.
